Free of worry and anxiety

What if we were totally free of all worry and anxiety? Free to be who we are really meant to be! Did you know that’s God’s plan for you and me?

In 1 Peter 5:7 it says: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

What does that mean? It means what it says. Give it up. Surrender it. Let go of it. Don’t hold onto it. Give it to God. Why? Because he cares for you. Can he take it? Can he really? Yes. That’s why he send Jesus and Jesus said on the Cross: “It is finished.” So that means that when we give it all to God and let go completely then he will take it away and that means it is finished. It is only not finished if we keep on going back to it and giving it the freedom to take over our thoughts.

So today and for the rest of Lent, not only are we giving up something, we are letting God have our anxiety, our fear, our worries. Because he cares for you. Yes that’s right. He cares for you. Let me say it again. He cares for you so much that he sent Jesus to die for your worries and fears and anxious thoughts and to love you for eternity. End of.

Anytime any worry or fear creeps into your mind say to it: “I’m giving you to God and he says it’s finished.”

Prayer: I’m tired of worrying so today I’m quitting. I’m sorry for giving anxious thoughts room to roam in my mind, and I am going to believe what the bible says that I can give you all of my anxiety, no matter the time of the day. Thank you Jesus! AMEN!
