How I’ve become medication free

Tell us about your style:

“My style tends to shift and change quite often, I like to play and experiment with different looks and colours but you can guarantee I’ll always have a pair of converse in my wardrobe and about 7 different lipstick colours on the go: one for each day of the week! My favourite clothes are the ones I find in charity shops and I have a weakness for vintage and leopard print.”

What are you doing right now?:

“I’m currently on an unexpected adventure in Italy! I’m working as an Au Pair and teaching English to kids and adults in my spare time and I love it. I never imagined that I would be doing this, life is funny like that. But deep within me I am a storyteller, and I’ve a passion for telling stories through film and video. I’m hoping to start teaching filmmaking courses here in September and it’s my dream to one day run my own content production company. One that glorifies God. So watch this space!”

What worship song do you have on repeat?:

“After You” by UPPERROOM

We’d love to hear something transformational God has done in your life:

“When I first moved to Italy 5 months ago, I really had a sense that God was guiding me to come off the medication I was on for anxiety, depression and insomnia*. I had been on it for a long time, but I also knew God wouldn’t leave me to handle it alone. I can proudly say that I’ve been medication free for nearly 3 months now! And I’ve never felt better. I still have tough days, but the Holy Spirit keeps reminding me of who I am and gives me the right tools and weapons not just to survive but to help set others free too! What an amazing gift that is.”

*Always consult your Doctor before coming off any medication.
