Hi Katy! Tell us about your style: “If I’m honest, I’m not really sure I have a specific style? Since being a student clothes shopping has become pretty secondary (which is something I probably overindulged in before!) so I try to experiment with basics. And when I do shop, my motto is ‘if I don’t automatically feel beautiful or if I’m not going to be thinking about this in a week I won’t get it’. I’ve always thought clothes are meant to allow us to express ourselves, but should never become who we are.”

What are you doing right now and what are you passionate about?:

“Right now I’m studying at a bible college in Australia. Probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! It’s opened my eyes to the power of church, the body of Christ being in unity and focusing on seeing God’s kingdom come. I’m super passionate about people, about seeing them in love with Jesus, and in fullness of community.”

“I’m also pretty passionate about words. I write a little poetry blog on Instagram and have LOVED seeing Jesus speak into people’s lives, situations and hearts. I really think the words we speak over people create a home for them and I’d love to house people in the most beautiful environment I can create. (Also really passionate about dumplings, I really really love dumplings).

What worship song do you have on repeat?:

“It Is Well by Bethel has been HUGE recently. Just such a good reminder that God is constant and consistent in his character even when everything around us isn’t.”

We’d love to hear something transformational God has done in your life:

“Honestly everything! I feel like I’m being transformed and stretched on the daily. However if I could pinpoint anything it would be obedience. I’m a strong believer in the fact that every opportunity starts with a step of obedience. The beautiful thing about that is that Jesus always steps with us. He never takes us places that he hasn’t already been, and if he’s asked us to go then he’ll never let us go alone. It’s beautiful isn’t it? He’s probably the best adventure partner out there.”
