Damned if we do, damned if we don’t.
But I won’t I won’t I won’t allow that to stop me from walking in my destiny. The path God has for me.
The straight and narrow is wide and free. The bumpy and rocky is all there for me. If the road was easy it wouldn’t be that pleasing. No ups no downs. No laughs no frowns.
Round and round would get you down.
The road less travelled is the one for me, written down in the book of life. Free to explore. Free to ignore the haters, the backbiters and the fighters.
Be mighty in the land, not standing on sinking sand.
What shall we do? Throw in the shoe that’s what. Put in our lot. Go all in because what have we gotta lose?
ONE word that’s been on my mind recently is perseverance. To get to where I want to go will take determination, one-mindedness. The route most probably won’t be easy. There will be obstacles in the way and things to overcome.
But. That is part of the point. The point is the point. I need sharpening. Defining. The sharper the point, the more accurate it is.
The times when I have to really focus, really concentrate, just keep going no matter what. Those are the times that sharpen and define me.
So I’m going to keep going. Not slow up now. Not stop. Keep my focus. Fix my faith, fix my mind on the task ahead. It will be worth it.
“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honour, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”
